I've spent a lot of time this past week thinking about all my experiences throughout the LowRes program and everything that I have researched and designed. It was hard to start narrowing down topics for my thesis. Looking back, I think one of the themes I explored the most was digital communication and finding different ways to interact with people online. Most of this has been influenced by the pandemic and the different ways that I've experienced interacting with people digitally. In thinking about the pandemic, I also thought about how it has influenced travel and the future of VR and digital traveling. This is one topic that I thought about exploring for my thesis. I want to research more about the future of VR and travel and how to still be able to connect with people through the experience. Another idea I'm thinking about exploring was the future of machine learning/automation in homes. Even just throughout this past year, I've wanted to learn more about machine learning and the future of smart tech in homes. I was thinking about exploring the future of safety and how much further smart tech in homes could go and what that could mean for our society. I was thinking about creating some sort of interactive website or 3D interactive model in unity because I wanted to further the 3D interactive skills that I gained last month.
